1880 Pieces of Wrought Iron
Own a piece of history! We have been using wrought iron from the 1880s we found in an old grain elevator in Wisconsin. This iron was smelted in 1880 from iron ore found in the Iron Mountains of Minnesota. It held the old globe elevator together for 130 years. The Wisconsin woodchuck company is dis-assembling the huge buildings and recycling the wood and iron. These pieces are cut-offs left over from projects we have done with the old iron. I forged them and stamped my touchmark into them. They are perfect for paperweight, gift or artful object.
